The Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band was founded in 2008 from the membership of the Heritage Pipes & Drums Pipe Band of Birmingham, Alabama.
Under the direction of Pipe Major Ryan Morrison, the Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band carries on the piping traditions of Birmingham, Alabama founded over 30 years ago by the first piper in the state of Alabama, the late Pipe Major Ian Sturrock.
To honor Pipe Major Sturrock and his lasting contribution to local Piping culture in Alabama, the current Pipe Major of ISMPB is proud to play the very pipes that were played by Major Sturrock.
The Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band is proudly sponsored by the St Andrews Society of the Middle South and the Caledonian Society of Alabama. For more information about the Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band, please contact Pipe Major Ryan Morrison at
